From April Blizzards to Record Heat – 2 Styled Wedding Flower Shoots

June 25, 2018 By //  by Anne Monroe Leave a Comment

Modern Spring Blizzard Wedding Flowers Photo Shoot

Wedding Flowers - Blizzard Photo ShootThis past April, Bloomberry Floral had a wedding flower show which was reschedule last minute, due to weather conditions. We had already bought the flowers for the show and our design team had already started working on the floral pieces….so, what do you do when life gives you a blizzard in the middle of April? Here at Bloomberry Floral, the answer was obvious, we have a photo shoot! Granted, this was our first photo shoot in a blizzard, but we were all up for the challenge. This was one of the most fun and memorable shoots, to date. We would like to thank our wonderful models (Victoria and Renny), our fantastic photographer (Mark) and the Bloomberry team for braving the frigid cold and snow, to deliver some amazing shots.

Wedding Flower Bridal Bouquet Spring Heat PhotoshootOn the other side of the spectrum, the second wedding flower photo shoot was done a couple of weeks ago, on one of the hottest day. We were asked by Paisley Photography, for a bridal bouquet and some floral pieces. We were also asked to decorate a bridal teepee for their photography workshop. On one of the hottest day in May, with the vehicle packed to the brim with flora’s and of course, the ac not working that day…. we drove from Medina to Zimmerman. If you know anything about our design team; we really had fun with this request and might have gone a little overboard. However, one of our biggest regret was not knowing there would be a baby goat there. Had we known about the baby goat; we would have adorned her/him with a beautiful floral piece. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks so much to the Paisley Photography team for including us and for the amazing photos.

There were a couple of firsts for us at Bloomberry Floral; first wedding flower photo shoot in a snow storm and first time partnering with Paisley Ann Photography & Kinderbella. Even though these were firsts; it will not be our last. We believe that with the right team, we can achieve anything. Fortunately for us, Bloomberry has one of the best teams out there! As much as we truly love working with our clients and created the weddings of their dreams, there is nothing like having the opportunity to let our creative juices flow and have the opportunity to show case some of our own original pieces Thank you so much to everyone that help pull this all together and we look forward to working with each and every one of you, again.

Tips On Choosing The Right Wedding Venues In Minneapolis

November 11, 2014 By //  by Anne Monroe Leave a Comment

Trying to decide on the perfect wedding venue in Minneapolis?  We’ve come up with some great tips to find the perfect venues that fit your Minneapolis Wedding Venuesbudget, your style and the time of year.  If you’re like most brides you want something different, something unique and something memorable for your special day.

Some of the best venue options include:

  • The Woods Chapel in Orono an outdoor chapel set among gorgeous trees, beautiful landscaping and a lovingly romantic pond view. Amphitheater style seating will accommodate the smallest or largest of crowds.
  • Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata offers a beautiful setting withing an exclusive member owned country club.  The Tudor style clubhouse landscape includes large Oaks, sprawling flower gardens and a warm and inviting feel from every aspect.
  • Al & Alma’s Charter Cruises on Minnetonka offers the ability to get married overlooking the sunset while cruising the open waters of Lake Minnetonka.
  • Aster Cafe in Minneapolis was named as the best place to go on a first date by City Pages so it only seems fit to have a wedding there as well!  Aster is a smaller wedding venue located in the historic warehouse area along the Mississippi River.
  • Nicolette Island Pavelion is an award-winning premier historic venue in Mpls.  The Pavelion hosts unique events year-round and can accommodate many budget and guests.

Tips:  When selecting the venue for your wedding make sure to keep the following items in mind:

  • Parking – how many guests will you be inviting and is there enough parking with an easy way to get in and out.
  • Cost – venues can rage from hundreds to thousands so make sure to check costs before proceeding to far.
  • The time of year and weather – be especially mindful of this for venue that are outdoors but may not offer cover for rain etc.  If an outdoor wedding is what you’re looking for make sure to ask the venue if they have or offer tents, gazebos or any other form of shelter in case the weather changes.
  • Decor – don’t forget to keep your decorating ideas, flower designs and other aspects of your wedding in mind and make sure its fitting to your choice of location.

Bloomberry Floral has been creating one of a kind weddings for years and has the experience that can help you not only create the best wedding flowers in Minneapolis but also help you select a venue that will work best for you.  If you’d like more tips on choosing the right wedding venues in Minneapolis contact our design team today!
