There is something about a military wedding that makes me emotional every time. Anna & Al united as a couple at St Annes Church in Hamel this past spring. Anna wore a sleeveless lace wedding gown with a long cathedral veil and Al and a few of his groomsman were dressed in their dress blues and the remainder in suits. Anna’s Bridesmaids wore shades of nude and blush. The day was perfect with blue skies, warm temps and puffy clouds overhead. The Chapel at St Anne’s was breathtaking with high cathedral ceilings, large stained glass windows and a front entry grand stair case entrance.
Anna and her bridesmaids carried matching bouquets of different textures of eucalyptus, ivory and white roses, ranunculus and large delicate peonies in blush.
After the ceremony guests joined the bride and groom at Lafayette Country Club in the Lake Minnetonka area in their Grand Ballroom. It was picturesque! The room was set with a harvest style head table with tall grand arrangements of florals matching the brides bouquet and taper candles. The set-up of the head table made the room feel “grand”. The guests tables were set with matching centerpieces and plenty of candlelight that set the scene for romance.
This was the first of many weddings we had the pleasure of designing at the Lafayette Country Club this past wedding season.
